HISTORIC OREGON COAST COTTAGE 1 block from the beach

On one of the oldest blocks of homes in this Oregon coast village, this historic beach cottage was the original public bath house, built in the early 1920's.  It retains some of the quirks and all of the charm of a classic beach home.

Approximately 900 sq. ft on the main floor -
Living room with 2 pine-paneled walls, storm windows facing west onto the covered front porch & yard, the lot being a typical 40'x110' size for this town.

Kitchen has electric range/oven with an oak-counter - opposite counter and back-splash is boat-deck teakwood surrounding the sink.

Bedroom has 2 walls of built-in closets and drawers/baskets.

Wood-paneled bathroom has a separate shower/toilet partially blocked by the sink cupboard, which holds a brass basin with matching Chicago faucets/handles.  On the other side is a tiled, 130-gallon Japanese soak tub to enjoy after long walks on the beach when it begins to drizzle.  Comfortably seats two adults.

FULL BASEMENT has built-in shelving and a work-bench, an 88-gallon water heater to accomodate the tub upstairs, and a separate laundry room with a washer and dryer.  An extra 18-cu.foot refrigerator is housed here to handle the overflow from the smaller-one in the kitchen.

There are also sleeping quarters in a separate, carpeted room here, although not an offical 2nd bedroom with windows that have no egress.  Ventilated, comfortable and roomy enough for guests.

The yard has an underground watering system for the garden beds, run by an indoor timer, for those long, dry summer days when sandy beach soil begs for some rain - it happens!

This coastal village is a wonderful hideaway for writers and artists, and a wonderful place to enjoy winter storms as well as summer days.  As you can see, this beach-cottage has all the evidence of someone who resides here year-round, and can be easily cleared out to make a good "camp" cabin for more people.  It comfortably sleeps 3 couples as it is presently configured with 3 double beds in the home (1 sofa-bed in the living room).

Mild in the winter and pleasant in the summer, the Oregon coast has great climate with no extremes - and this cottage is nestled in the heart of this small village, 4 blocks from the cafe`, the post-office, and the Neskowin Marketplace.
